Talents & Violon'celles welcomes the extension of the tax scheme for musical instruments until 2028

The recent decision to extend the tax scheme supporting the purchase of musical instruments by businesses (Article 238bis AB of the General Tax Code) until 31 December 2028 is excellent news for the entire French music sector. This measure, spearheaded by the Ministry of Culture, allows companies that purchase instruments intended to be loaned to artists to benefit from a particularly attractive tax framework.
For Talents & Violon'celles, this extension represents much more than a tax measure: it is a practical tool for fostering emerging talent, preserving our musical heritage and promoting classical music.
The Ministry of Culture has chosen to highlight the effectiveness of this scheme through the testimony of François-Xavier Anscutter, President of Talents & Violon'celles. We are particularly honoured by this recognition, as it underscores the role our endowment fund has played for over fifteen years in supporting young musicians at a national level.
Today, thanks to the commitment of our partners and patrons, more than 140 instruments are made available to talented musicians. These loans enable young artists to access instruments that they would often be unable to afford on their own, and to fully develop their artistic potential.
This success is, above all, down to our patrons. The companies, foundations and individuals who support us share a common belief: musical excellence deserves the means to express itself. Their trust enables us not only to support today’s artists, but also to keep the craft of French and European instrument-making alive, in particular by encouraging the creation of new instruments of the very highest quality.
For several years now, corporate sponsors have chosen to commission instruments to be added to our collection. Examples include the Caisses d’Epargne and the Safran Corporate Foundation for Music. Each new instrument becomes a tool for passing on knowledge, fostering creativity and promoting excellence, serving several generations of musicians.
The extension of this scheme until 2028 opens up new opportunities. It will enable more businesses to support music creation and make a tangible contribution to the future of promising young artists.
