"Lied an den Mond" is one of the arias from Rusalka, a three-act opera by Antonín Dvořák, written in 1900. It is based on a Czech folktale and tells the story of a mermaid who falls in love with a prince. Rusalka is considered one of Dvořák's most important operas and of Czech opera in general. It is one of his most moving works.
