Calme des Nuits is a song for voice and piano composed by Camille Saint-Saëns in 1872. The lyrics were written by the French poet Victor Hugo, and the melody was originally composed for a soprano or tenor voice. It is one of Saint-Saëns' best-known and most moving works. It is frequently performed in concert and has been recorded by numerous artists.
