Waldesnacht (Night in the Forest) is a composition for mixed choir and orchestra by Johannes Brahms. Written in 1864, it is based on a poem by Joseph von Eichendorff. A deeply romantic piece, it depicts a nighttime walk in a forest. Frequently performed in concert, it is considered one of Brahms's most important works for choir and orchestra.
