Clair de Lune is a piano piece by Gabriel Fauré, written in 1887. It is part of the Piano Suite No. 1, which comprises four pieces: Prelude, Menuet, Clair de Lune, and Tarantella. It is famous for its melancholic melody and refined harmonic texture.
