Raphaël Pidoux
Co-founder, vice-president, artistic director, director of the instrumental fund, administrator.

Trained by the greatest masters, Raphaël Pidoux embodies the excellence of the French cello. After winning First Prize at the Paris Conservatory (CNSM), his talent led him to the United States, where he furthered his studies with legends such as János Starker and Menahem Pressler.
From this prestigious lineage, the Trio Wanderer was born in 1987. A musical adventure that has become a global benchmark, acclaimed on the most prestigious stages. But for Raphaël Pidoux, the art of performing is inseparable from passing on knowledge.
A professor at the Paris Conservatory, he dedicates a significant portion of his energy to shaping the next generation. With his fellow members of the Trio, he also founded a class dedicated to piano trio at the École Normale de Musique - Alfred Cortot, preparing tomorrow's elite for the challenges of competitions and international careers. This commitment finds its full expression within Talents & Violon'celles, an initiative he spearheaded.
Raphaël Pidoux plays on a cello by Goffredo Cappa (Saluzzo, 1680).
